Kannur International Airport in getting inaugurated in coming months and the airport is equipped with cutting edge airport technologies and state of the art intelligence. In addition to this, the airport has come up with interiors which showcases the theme of Kannur District which are mainly 'Theyyam, Kalari Payattu & Ayurveda". District Agricultural Farm Thaliparamba Kannur

District Agricultural Farm(Jilla Agricultural farm) Thaliparamba Kannur is a government organization, where people can buy any tree saplings as per their needs.

Advantages are

• We can buy any number of saplings
• Government body, thus only genuine products
• Good guidance about seeds and methods of plantation
• In person visits are allowed

Regional Public Health Laboratory Kannur

Regional Public Health Laboratories are intended to provide affordable health lab services including the poor. Kerala has multiple health labs and one of such regional lab is situated in Kannur.

Any one with a doctor prescription for checkups can be approached to regional health labs across Kerala. The charges are nominal compared to a private owned labs. BPL Ration card owners will have free(zero charge) health lab services.

Is Kannur Airport Inauguration getting finalised in September 2018?

As per the KIAL MD, 95% of the work already completed & commercial operation of the airport is planned in September 2018. As part of the finalization, all precautionary checks needs to be carried out from various departments like civil aviation, etc.

Quick fact check:

•  KIAL is the fourth largest Indian airport based on the length of the runway
•  KIAL is now Kerala’s second greenfield airport.
•  KIAL's Estimated cost is ₹2,292-Crore.
•  KIAL got world aviation map location code as ‘KNR’. The airport has already IATA code ‘CNN’ and ICAO code ‘VOKN’.
•  KIAL is built as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative on Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis. The share percentage is State - 35%, public sector companies - 25%, AAI - 10%, private sector - 30%.
•  KIAL is based on green energy concept based; Carbon neutral, maximum utilisation of renewable energy.
•  KIAL will be the biggest in Kerala in terms of land area and the 4,000-m runway on completion in Phase III will be the longest in south India.
•  KIAL will join the prestigious group of airports in India with 4,000-metre runways after the busy ones in New Delhi (4,430 m), Hyderabad (4,260 m) and Bengaluru (4,120 m).
•  KIAL's Passenger terminal building is 95,000 sq meter , which is the eighth largest in India.
•  KIAL will have 48 check-in counters, 16 each emigration, immigration and customs counters, three conveyor belts, 12 escalators, and 15 elevators.
•  KIAL's 1,923 sq m ATC building and 750-metre flyover had been completed
•  Over 95% of the work on the air-side and 90% of the work of the integrated terminal building are over.
•  KIAL is ready with runway, apron, service roads, flyover, fire rescue station, IMD’s met park, STP, service block and auxiliary buildings.
•  KIAL combined with BPCL, has completed the air traffic control tower and fuel farm.
•  KIAL is now equipped with the baggage handling system, elevators and three passenger boarding bridges had been installed.
•  KIAL has new generation type interior & art works, which has a double skin aluminium roofing, vitrified-granite, wooden and synthetic marble floor.
•  KIAL will have a all most modern amenities including  energy-efficient LED lighting.

 Security:

•  CISF had allotted 634 personnel for the security of the airport already.
•  Kerala state police had offered 145 personnel for managing the immigration wing of the airport.

  All the 30 people who are impacted by acquisition had been give offers and appointed now.
