Kannur Airport Parking Fees

Kannur International Airport vehicle parking tender was invited on 7th December 2018 and closed on 8th. The toll has been started on a trial basis and toll booth is set up at main entrance area now .

Highlights of parking rules:

Entry to Exit point 15 minutes free.
Rs 500 will be charged for lost token/ Un authorized parking
Government vehicles, KIAL office vehicles, employee vehicles are exempted from parking fees.

From next phase the tool booths will be set up at gate 2 and three.

Parking hour slots are of 2 Hours, 2+ 10 Hours, After 12 Hours.
Parking is managed by M/s Gateway Securities.

KIAL is planning to implement season tickets for people/ agencies who are working on contract basis soon.

KIAL Creates History. First time in India, introducing self check in bag drop service

Dec 09th 2018, Kannur International Airport inaugurated and first flight has taken off to Abudhabi. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu.

Advanced technology usage in Airports

Travel industry is growing, thus self-service automotion throughout the travel process continues to increase, which eases the travel process. There are on-going researches to find innovative self-service ideas for bag drop and tagging solutions. Already there have been self-service baggage drop systems developed to further enable hassle free travel.

Kannur International Airport is the first Airport having self check in bag drop service in India.

What is mean by Self Check-in Bag drop?

A self-check-in bag drop process allowing passengers with bags to check-in at the self-service kiosks with luggage up to approximately 30 minutes prior to departure time. Passengers then attach the baggage tag and drop the bag at the baggage drop belt.

-Baggage processing becomes increasingly automated.

-Avoids queue.
-Higher efficiency for passengers, airline team and the airport.
-The passenger is in control of their own process and can check-in their baggage within a short process time, which meets the passenger’s needs.
-You can print your boarding card, tag your baggage and leave it at the appropriate machines.
- Entire process happens in just a few seconds and completely independently.
-There are additional options to purchase many additional services directly; like from Fast Track access to extra baggage, and the upgrades, where available, to fly even more comfortably.

Steps to check-in bags:

First complete check-in via web, mobile or kiosk.
Then go to the self baggage area, tag your own bags by printing your bag tags at baggage airport kiosks.
Finally drop your bags.
